How to create a website free of charge? Is there such a thing these days? Maybe there is and depending upon your goal of creating the website, if it is just for hobby, there are many choices to build it free of charge. There are 5 great choices that I could think of and the 5th one is what I am currently using. I chose it because it is basically just a matter of clicking buttons with a few keystrokes on the keyboard and the website is up and running in no time. Sounds cool right?

Here are the 5 choices you can select from:

1. Blogger.Com

This is own by Google as you probably already know and it is a good platform for creating blogs and websites. You can chronicle your life or whatever your heart’s desire. There’s not a whole lot you need to get started, because all you need is a valid Gmail Account and you can get started right away. Choose from a wide selection of templates to make your website as unique as you are.

On a single Gmail Account, you can have as many as 100 blogs that you can create. Imagine that, having that many blogs will get you busy all year long! If you get lucky, you can even earn money with Google Adsense as they can automatically display relevant targeted ads on your blog meaning you only have to keep adding valuable content that captures your readers attention so that they can keep coming back to your blog.

2. Weebly.Com

Weebly is another good platform you can use towards creating your beautiful website for free. The basic version they have can have 500megabyte of Storage capacity. That doesn’t seem like a lot to me but then again it is free so that is good. You will also have free SSL Security which makes your website secure.

Just as long as you do not expect a whole lot from a free website, you are good to go and Weebly is a good platform you can use. The website that you will be creating will have a branding which means that the word Weebly will be visibly seen! That is not bad at all and expect that to be the case because they are providing it for free. When you decide to upgrade, they have many choices up to $25 per month.

They are more geared towards people wanting to build an online stores or an e-commerce stores. If you are simply looking to start a simple website, Blogger.Com will probably fit you better but if you love shopping and have a knack to create a shopping type of website, then Weebly might be a good choice.

3. Website.Com

I like the branding of this domain name Website.Com as it denotes what you want right away. It is also a good platform if you want a free website but in any free ones, expect limitations and what I mean by that is this one for example it looks like you could only have 10 pages on their free plan. That doesn’t seem much at all but the good news is if you upgrade, they have a reasonable price of only $7 per month for unlimited pages.

That’s great and all but it defeats the idea of free when you have to upgrade and pay a monthly fee. At least this one has more storage capacity of 1Gigabyte twice as much as Weebly’s 500megabyte storage capacity.

4. IMCreator.Com

IM Creator is a platform design for students and artists alike. You get all the design tools to build your stunning website. You don’t have to worry about coding and things like that because they have a website builder with many different choices of templates and elements you can add on. They call their website builder “XPRS” would that mean “EXPRESS“? Maybe or maybe not but it denotes that it is something very easy to use as well.

Their free plan will get you access to all the themes and it is also “ads free” which is something unusual. I guess unusual in a sense that you would think there would be ads since its free but not for IM Creator which is great.

If you decide to upgrade, it can be as little as $8 per month and they also have an upgrade for Web-designers and I don’t think it is suitable for you and the price is $350 annually which comes to about $29 and some change per month.

5. SiteRubix Platform

The 5th and final one is the one I am using which is called SiteRubix Platform. This is not an ordinary Website Builder and the reason why is because you have the backing of an entire Community of Online Marketers who are in the business of earning and learning continuously.

What you will get when you give this a try is a Free Website on a SiteRubix SubDomain that you can fully own and manage. You will also have access to the tools and resources available for the free version.

All of these 5 website builders are great but what got me to choose the SiteRubix is the fact that it also integrated with WordPress. I am sure you are familiar with WordPress and if not, you should know that it is the most widely use Content Management System in the world. I just happen to like WordPress because it is easy to use that’s all.

Final Thoughts

Whichever way you go on how to create a website free of charge, one thing for sure is eventually, you are going to realize that maybe just maybe you are wanting to venture online to make money. Just like the majority of us, we strive and find ways to make money online and the easiest way to get started is to have your very own website.

Having a free website though can only go so far and you will always have limitations but that should not discourage you to get started. My suggestion is find a platform that you are comfortable with and start your journey there. You never know where it might lead you and just as long as you keep learning new things, you will be closer to your goal one step and a time or maybe do it in leaps and bounds?
